Functioning of Student Grievances :

The student grievance mechanism in a college is a structured process that enables students to voice their concerns, complaints, or issues related to academics, facilities, faculty behavior, or administrative services.

1. Submission of Grievance

Students can submit their grievances in written form (through a complaint box or grievance cell) or via an online portal.

2. Categorization of Grievances

✔ Academic issues (marks, exam-related complaints).

✔ Infrastructure problems (hostel, library, classrooms).

✔ Financial issues (fees, scholarships).

✔ Miscellaneous (transport, cafeteria, etc.).

3. Investigation and Resolution

✔ The GRC investigates complaints by gathering evidence, conducting inquiries, and speaking with the individuals involved.

✔ A resolution is then proposed, which may include counseling, disciplinary action, or policy changes.

4. Follow-up and Implementation

✔ The institution ensures that the resolution is implemented and takes steps to prevent similar issues from arising in the future.
