About Exam Cell

The Exam Cell was established since in the inception of the college. The cell consists of Chief Superintendent / Principal and other respective subordinates, who are molding as the backbone of the Exam Cell. Continuous Internal Assessment (CIA) schedule is based on the academic calendar which is posted on the website well in advance. The primary responsibility of the Exam Cell is conducting all examinations (both Internal and External) in a fair and systematic manner under the directions of the Chief Superintendent / Principal.

Objectives

βœ” To create an efficient timetable for exams that accommodates various subjects, classes, and student groups without clashes.

βœ” To manage exam-related paperwork, registration processes, and ensuring students meet eligibility criteria to attend the exams.

βœ” To organize exam venues, seating arrangements, and necessary facilities like exam halls, desks, and equipment.

βœ” To maintain exam confidentiality, and ensuring fairness and impartiality in the exam process.

βœ” To provide support to students with disabilities or special needs, ensuring they have necessary accommodations during exams.

βœ” To disseminate information about exam schedules, rules, and any changes to students and faculty.

βœ” To assist in the collection of exam papers and handing it to the respective departments.

βœ” To ensure that exam processes adhere to institutional policies, regulations, and examination board guidelines.

βœ” To collect feedback from students and faculty and addressing the grievances.

Instructions to Candidates

● Candidates who have earned 75% of the attendance are eligible to appear for the University Examination.

● Candidates should refer to the notification in the College Notice Board for the appropriate exact date of commencement of Examinations.

● All the seats in the Examination hall are arranged as per the Hall Ticket Numbers. Students should occupy the seat as per their register number given in the hall ticket.

● No Candidate will be allowed to write the examination without the IDENTITY CARD issued by the College.The Candidates are necessarily required to bring their Hall Tickets and show it to the official concerned whenever it is required.

● Candidates should occupy their allotted seats at least 10 minutes before the commencement of the examination.

● A candidate who is late by more than 30 minutes shall not be permitted to write the examination.

● Candidates shall be allowed to leave the examination hall 45 minutes after the commencement of the examination.

● Candidates who are undoubtedly suffering from infectious diseases of any kind shall not be admitted to the examination hall.

● Strict silence should be maintained inside the examination hall.

● A candidate found guilty of using unfair means of any nature shall be liable for disciplinary action.

● The candidate should produce the hall ticket on demand by the invigilator / Chief Superintendent.

● Candidates are strictly prohibited using cell phones inside the examination hall.

● MALPRACTICE- Candidates indulging in any kind of malpractice in the examination hall will be seriously dealt with any of the following will be deemed to be malpractice and action will be taken against the candidate indulging in them :

βœ” Mock interview sessions on group discussions and HR round are conducted to prepare students for the actual interview.

βœ” Copying from the neighbor’s answer book or from notes, books and other materials or/and allow others to copy from one’s answer books.

βœ” Communicating with a person outside or inside the examination room.

βœ” Disobedience of the instructions of the Chief Superintendent, additional Chief Superintendent or Invigilators or flouting their authority in any other manner/ non-observance of any of these instructions.

βœ” Intimation, assault, use of abusive language or any kind of misbehavior towards Superintendents / Invigilators either within the premises or outside the exam centre.

βœ” Taking answer booklets out of the exam hall.

βœ” Any violation of the proper conduct of examination.

Instructions to Invigilators

Hall Ticket

Candidates must have a valid Hall ticket to be admitted to the examination hall.

Identity Verification

Invigilators must verify the identity of candidates using the photograph on the Hall ticket.

Admission Time

Candidates should be allowed into the examination hall 15 minutes before the scheduled exam time.

Late Admission

No candidate should be admitted to the examination hall 30 minutes after the exam has started.

Seating Plan

Candidates can only be admitted to a hall if their register number is on the seating plan. Otherwise, they should be directed to the exam cell for further verification.

Distribution of Exam Materials

Question papers and answer books should be distributed to candidates five minutes before the exam starts. Candidates should fill in their register number and other required information, which the invigilator verifies.

Silence

Maintain strict silence in the examination hall, and prohibit talking among candidates or borrowing materials.

Clarifications

Invigilators should not provide clarifications to students about mistakes in the question paper. Any needed clarification should be given in writing to the Chief Superintendent.

Use of Materials

Logarithm tables, calculators, etc., are allowed only if permitted by the instructions in the question paper.

Prohibited Items

Mobile phones and electronic gadgets are not allowed in the examination hall.

Unfair Practices

In case of any unfair behavior, take custody of the answer book and Hall Ticket and submit a written report to the Chief Superintendent.

Writing on Question Papers

Candidates should not be allowed to write on the question paper. They should use the last page of the answer book for rough work.

Correction of Register Numbers

Invigilators should not make corrections to the register numbers written by candidates on their answer books. Instead, ask the candidate to correct it and then countersign it.

Early Departure

Candidates are not allowed to leave the examination hall before 45 minutes from the commencement of the exam.

Attendance Record

Close attendance and mark absences in red ink after half an hour from the start of the exam. Submit this information to the exam cell.

Last Ten Minutes

Ten minutes before the end of the examination, announce 'last ten minutes.' After the last bell, instruct candidates to stop writing.

Leaving the Hall

Candidates can only leave the examination hall after their answer book is taken by the invigilator.

Duplicate Hall Tickets

Any duplicate Hall tickets found should be collected and submitted to the exam cell after the exam.

Collection and Reporting

Collect the answer books, arrange them in the order of register numbers, and hand them over with the attendance list and unused answer books to the Chief Superintendent. Report to the Chief Superintendent before leaving the examination premises.
